Recommendation

Proceed, redirect, contain, combine, or stop—with the evidence and uncertainty stated.

Comparison before conclusion

Results are interpreted against a defined baseline and the conditions under which both were measured.

Smallest useful artefact

Prototype only what is necessary to examine the difficult claim or system behaviour.

Failure is evidence

Negative and boundary results are preserved because they define where engineering must compensate or stop.

Programme outcome

Research should change an engineering decision.

A useful conclusion states what the evidence supports, what it does not, which conditions matter, what remains uncertain, and the cost of learning more.
